Howdy!!

I hope that everyone had a safe weekend trying to stay out of the way of Hurricane Rita. Thankfully it stayed away from this area pretty well and didn't do any major damage in the College Station area. Our game against Texas Tech was postponed this week due to the hurricane so we had a weekend to do some thinking about what things we wanted to improve and what changes we needed to make with our game. We have one of our bye weeks this Wednesday and travel this weekend to play at Kansas State. We are looking forward to this match and thankfully we have an entire week to prepare for it. This week will be good to get a lot of practice time in and work on some of the stuff that we have noticed we need to work on during some of our matches.

A lot has been going on since my last posting. To catch you up...we traveled to Nebraska last Tuesday and prepared to take on a huge challenge by facing the top-ranked team in the country in their gym. We started the match really well but ended up losing. They are a very strong team and it was a great chance for us to see where we stacked up against them and to see the things that worked and didn't work against a tough and highly ranked team. We are definitely focusing on the things that we need to do to win in a strong conference like the Big 12. We actually love going to Nebraska and playing there because of the great volleyball atmosphere that they have. It is really exciting playing in such a loud and packed gym because it reminds us of G. Rollie White and the great fan support we have when we are playing at home. We really appreciate all the enthusiasm and the great atmosphere that we have at home and we want to you all to know that we are so grateful for all you guys! I hope you all have a great week!
