Texas A&M sophomore Robert Gates, Jr., fired a 10-under-par 62 on Wednesday to break his own course record at Traditions Golf Club by four shots.
Gates first set the record with a 66 last fall and tied it on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he recorded eight birdies and an eagle with no bogeys. He holed out his second shot for an eagle on the par-4 fourth hole.
