Texas A&M's Robert Gates tied the school record with a seven-under-par 65 on Sunday to lead the Aggies to a 10-stroke victory at The Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall's Jack Nicklaus Course.

A&M entered the final round with a narrow two-shot lead, but cruised to the title with a final round of seven-under 281 for an 870 total. The Aggies also won the Adams Cup of Newport in Rhode Island in late September. The last time A&M won at least two tournaments in a season was in 1994-95.

Gates bounced back from opening rounds of 79 and 80 to tie the A&M record of seven-under shared by Ryan Palmer (1998), Jeff Maggert (1986), Danny Briggs (1982) and Gary Krueger (1981).

A&M's Jerad Harklau finished second in the individual standings with a three-under total of 69-73-71=213. Coastal Carolina's Dustin Johnson clipped Harklau for the title with a five-under 73-72-66=211. A&M's Bronson Burgoon finished seventh (73-72-73=218), Andrew Parr tied for ninth (75-73-72=220), Gates tied for 19th and Trey Todd finished 49th (77-77-80=234).

Coastal Carolina was the team runner-up with an 880 total, followed by Minnesota (889), Illinois (889), Tulsa (889), Virginia Commonwealth (889), Michigan State (891), Virginia Tech (894), Purdue (901), Ohio State (902), memphis (903) and UNC Wilmington (933).

The tournament completes A&M's fall schedule. The Aggies open the spring season Jan. 30-31 at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate.
