The Texas A&M women?â„¢s basketball team will host Everyone?â„¢s Internet in exhibition play Monday at 7 p.m. at Reed Arena.
The game will be the first action for the Aggies since last season?â„¢s quarterfinal appearance in the postseason WNIT. It will be the first of two exhibition games the Aggies will play before the season tips off on Nov. 21.
EV1.net entered its game at SMU on Sunday night touting a 4-1 record which includes a 68-60 win at Texas last week.
The EV1.net team is comprised of former college players, some of which have experience in the WNBA or in professional leagues in Europe.
?They are really athletic,? A&M coach Gary Blair said. ?They run a similar offensive set to what we do. If we are going to have a chance to win we will need to do a good job on the offensive boards.?
EV1.net is coached by Kevin Cook who is an assistant coach for the WNBA Houston Comets.
The Aggies return four starters from last year?â„¢s team including Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year Morenike Atunrase and a pair of three-time Rookie of the Week winners in A?â„¢Quonesia Franklin and Patrice Reado.
Seniors Tamea Scales and Erica Roy are entering their third season as starters for the Aggies.
?Our players are ready to go,? Blair said. ?You?â„¢ll see a lot of players get some early minutes in the rotation. I?â„¢m trying to find the combinations that work best for us.?
Eleven of the Aggies?â„¢ 15 players are in their first or second year in the program.
Admission is free for fans donating a spare coat or blanket to the Athletic Department's annual coat drive. The drive benefits Twin City Missions in Bryan. Aggie Athletes Involved will be accepting the items at the main entrance at Reed Arena.
Blair?â„¢s Kids Court will open at 6 p.m. in the practice gym.
