Texas A&M freshman forward Danielle Gant was named to the All-Tournament Team following her stellar three-game performance over the weekend at the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic held in Honolulu.
Gant, from Oklahoma City, came off the bench for the Aggies and recorded game-high points in two games.
In the opening round win against Cal State Northridge, Gant scored a game-high 14 points while blocking four shots and making two steals. The following day in the semifinals, Gant recorded a game-best and career-high 19 points with eight rebounds in a loss to No. 17-ranked DePaul.
She wrapped the tournament with nine points, six rebounds, and four steals in a buzzer beater loss to Hawaii.
For the tournament, Gant averaged 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, four blocks, and seven steals. She connected on a team-best 17-of-30 (.567) from the field.
