Texas A&M?™s women?™s basketball Big 12 Conference home opener against Oklahoma State on Wednesday, January 4 will now start at 5:30 p.m. in an effort to allow sports fans the chance to enjoy the basketball game and also be able to view the national championship football game later that evening, the school announced Wednesday.
?Our fans are very important to this program and I want them to be there for our Big 12 opener and still have time to get home to see the football game,? A&M coach Gary Blair said. ?We have been playing an exciting brand of basketball this season and are looking forward to starting conference play next week and I hope this time change will help our fans with their sports schedules for Wednesday.?
The Aggies are 8-2 overall and host non-conference games on Dec. 28, 30, and Jan. 2 before hosting Oklahoma State (5-5).
