Greetings once again from Aggieland. I want to start off by recapping some of the highs of our season since I last posted.
First, we took a business trip to Las Vegas and competed in the Duel in the Desert tournament. That slogan was the exact description of our dominance over UNLV. We won the game 73-48 to win the championship trophy.
Though the win was highly impressive to many spectators, it was a team goal we expected to reach.

Our pair of seniors, Erica Roy and Tweety Scales, assumed their roles as leaders and led us to the tournament win.
Erica shutdown every team's best player. Her defensive intensity in this tournament elevated from a perfect 10 to a sizzling 20. Honestly, she made our opponents wish they didn't step on the court. Erica is someone I look up to on our team. Her hustle and savvy is simply amazing! I've learned a lot from E-Roy.
Tweety is another spectacular competitor. In Vegas, if our team needed it she made it happen. She plays extremely hard night in and night out. Many times we fueled off of her fiery presence on the court. I was really impressed with the four charges she took in the tournament.
The UNLV win ultimately made a statement to our team. Coach Blair's famous quote "Who are we?" arose once again.
In my opinion we are a talented team that is hungry for success and we are striving to make our opponents respect the name on the front of our jerseys. Our team is approaching every game as preparation for Big 12 Conference play.
After leaving Las Vegas, we played two consecutive games before our three-day Christmas break.
That brings us to our recent win over Utah State. This game was another slow start for us, but we always seem to crank it up and we extended it to a comfortable lead and a win.
Everyone is very excited about my consistent shooting. My reaction to the questions from the media and friends and teammates is "I work hard on my shot." I always make a huge emphasis on that response to questions because people want to know what's the secret is to consistent shooting. Even though I do have a couple of secret techniques to my shot, practicing on my shot is the only clue I'm going to give away.
So for all you young ballers out there, make a commitment to practice your game and you'll see the results.
In my eyes, the college season moves along very fast. At times I have to stop and take a breath and say "Is all this really happening?"
I want to take a time out and express my thanks to all my supporters and every one that is supporting our team. I want to thank my Mom and Dad, Tenesha Bell, Wanda's family and to my seventh grade coach Toni Alverson for all being there for me. I appreciate you all for everything.
To all our fans, the team thanks you and please continue to support us this year.
