The No. 16-ranked Texas A&M men's golf team was in ninth place at 6-over-par when play was halted because of darkness on Monday at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate at Arizona National Golf Club.
The Aggies carded an opening round of 4-over 288 on Monday morning and was two-over with several holes left to play in the second round. The round will be completed Tuesday morning, followed immediately by the final 18 holes.
Host Arizona leads at 23-under, followed by No. 11-ranked BYU (-19), No. 10 Arizona State (-14), Arizona B (-11), New Mexico (-6), No. 23 Texas (-4), No. 25 Pepperdine (-4), Tulsa (-3), A&M (+6), Denver (+10), New Mexico State (+11), UC Irvine (+13), Texas-El Paso (+24), Oregon State (+28), California (+28) and Oregon (+32).
Arizona's Henry Liaw leads the individual standings at 9-under, two strokes ahead of the rest of the field.
Sophomore Trey Todd led A&M in the first round with a 5-under 67, but followed with a 78 and is tied for 38th with a 3-over 145 total. Freshman Bronson Brugoon also completed his second round and is tied for 47th at 75-71=146.
Senior Andrew Parr is tied for 33rd at 2-over, sophomore Robert Gates is tied for 47th at 4-over and senior Jerad Harklau is tied for 56th at 5-over.
