Three Texas A&M volleyball signees have been named to Volleyball magazine?™s ?Fab 50?, a list of the nation?™s top 50 high school recruits.

Sarah Ammerman (6?™2?, Chaparral High School/Parker, Colo.), Jenny Banse (6?™, Churchill High School/San Antonio) and Mary Batis (6?™, Clark High School, San Antonio) represent A&M on the Fab 50 list.

Only Penn State had more signees on the list with four. The complete list is available in the April issue of Volleyball.

The three A&M signees, all outside hitters, were named Mizuno/Volleyball High School All-Americans in the publication?™s February issue.

Batis, who graduated high school in December and is now enrolled at A&M, makes her collegiate debut Saturday when the Aggies participate in the Stephen F. Austin Spring Tournament in Nacogdoches, Texas.

A&M will play three exhibition matches during the one-day tournament, with the first being against Stephen F. Austin at 12:30 p.m. at Shelton Gym. The Aggies face Louisiana Tech at 1:45 p.m. and conclude the tournament against Texas-Arlington at 3 p.m.

A&M opens its 2006 regular season August 25 at the Colorado State Hilton Classic in Fort Collins, Colo.
