The Texas A&M volleyball team went 1-1 at the Stephen F. Austin Spring Tournament held today at Shelton Gym.
A&M, which was playing its first tournament of the spring exhibition season, opened with a 30-25, 30-24, 30-22 loss to the host Lady Jacks but rebounded by defeating Texas-Arlington, 32-30, 30-17, 30-27.
The Aggies, who have only eight players on the spring roster, were slated to have a third match, but Louisiana Tech dropped out of the tournament.
A&M hosts a tournament Saturday, hosting San Jacinto College and the University of Houston. Action begins at 10:30 a.m. at G. Rollie White Coliseum.
