Texas A&M women?™s basketball signee Adrian McGowen will play in the 2006 McDonald?™s All-American High School Basketball Game Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (central) at Cox Arena in San Diego, Calif.
McGowen, a senior at Goodrich (Texas) High School, is the nation?™s all-time girls high school scorer with 5,424 points. She is the first McDonald?™s All-American signed by A&M.
The game will be televised by ESPN on a tape-delay basis on April 6 at 12 p.m.
McGowen averaged 37 points a game as a senior after averaging 54 points a game as a junior.
During her career, McGowen connected on 1,258-of-1,855 from the free throw line which is the most makes and attempts ever in the nation.
