PROBABLE TEXAS A&M STARTING ROTATION
- GAME 1: Austin Creps - Junior - RHP
Austin Creps, a junior right-hander and Texas Collegiate League Pitcher of the Year, will make his first Friday start of the season this weekend. He started the past two Saturdays after starting on Sunday the first five weeks of the season. Creps has pitched a total of 47 2/3 innings in his previous seven starts and has allowed just 37 hits on the season. He owns a record of 3-2, an ERA of 0.76 and is averaging 6.81 innings per start. Creps was the tough-luck loser in a game against Missouri State, allowing three runs in five innings of work in the 3-2 loss. He came back strong with a 7 1/3 inning performance against Florida where he allowed three hits, struck out five and did not walk a man. He also shouldered the loss against UTSA after throwing 7 2/3 innings and not allowing an earned run. Creps did not earn a decision against Missouri, as he left with a 4-1 lead and the Aggies lost 6-5 in extra innings. He threw 7 1/3 scoreless innings against Texas Tech, scattering five hits and striking out five. In his seven starts, the Aggie offense has scored 19 runs for an average of 2.71 runs per game.
- GAME 2: Jason Meyer - Junior - LHP
Jason Meyer will be making his second start of the season this weekend. His first start came in the Tuesday game against Lamar. He allowed one run on six hits in six-complete innings on the mound. For the year, Meyer has appeared in 15 games, 14 out of the bullpen. In 24 1/3 innings on the mound, he has allowed 23 hits and has 22 strikeouts and just five walks. He also has a save this season. Meyer, a 2004 freshman all-American, has plenty of experience as a starter. He started 14 games in 2005 and 12 in 2004.
- GAME 3: Chance Corgan - Sophomore - RHP
Chance Corgan, a sophomore right-hander, will make his third straight weekend start of the year after starting the Aggies' mid week game the first four weeks of the season.
