Christi Hahn, a middle blocker on the Texas A&M volleyball team, was awarded the prestigious Thomas S. Gathright Scholar Academic Excellence Award Sunday during the Parents?â„¢ Weekend All-University Awards Ceremony.
This is the second consecutive year the junior from Leander, Texas, has received the honor, given annually to the sophomore, junior and senior with the highest overall grade-point ratio within each academic college.
Hahn, a 4.0 student majoring in exercise physiology, represented the College of Education.
The Gathright award was established in 1973 to recognize outstanding achievement on a university-wide scale. It is named in honor of the first president of the A&M College of Texas.
