"We are really excited to be hosting the Aggie Invitational for the second year," A&M coach J.T. Higgins said. "It has already become a fantastic collegiate event and has attracted a great field. It really showcases our home course as well as our community. It should be a great weekend and we hope to see a large turnout to support the team."
Oklahoma's Anthony Kim also is back after earning co-medalist honors with New Mexico's Spencer Levin last year with a six-under-par 210 total. Kim, the reigning Big 12 champion, is ranked No. 3 nationally by Golfweek. Oklahoma State sophomore Pablo Martin is the nation's top-ranked player, while Baylor's Ryan Baca is ranked fifth.
In all, 20 players ranked among the top 100 will be participating. Oklahoma State and A&M each have four top 100 players. A&M senior Andrew Parr is ranked 68th, sophomore Robert Gates, Jr., is 77th, freshman Bronson Burgoon is 81st and senior Jerad Harklau is 82nd. Sophomore Martin Piller completes the Aggies' lineup.
Sophomore Trey Todd and juniors Dillon Gooch and Chris Massoletti will compete for A&M as individuals.
The Aggies have won two tournaments this season and have placed in the top 10 in all eight events.
