The Aggies are looking to get back to the .500 mark after a six-game losing streak has them at 19-20 overall.

Of the Aggies' 19 losses, 16 have been by three runs or less, and Big 12 play, all but one of A&M's 12 losses have been by three or fewer runs.

Houston enters the weekend with a record of 24-15 overall and are currently second in the Conference USA standings with a 9-3 mark. Houston has won six of its last eight games.

Sophomore right-hander Chance Corgan will get the starting nod on the mound for Texas A&M, after throwing 4 2/3 innings of one-hit ball in a relief appearance in Friday's game against Nebraska. For the year, he has an ERA of 3.80 and a record of 3-2.

Houston will counter with junior righty Shea Hancock. Hancock will be making his second start of the season and has 11 appearances out of the bullpen. He is 1-1 with an ERA of 3.97.

The Aggies defeated the Cougars, 3-2, earlier this season at Cougar Field. Freshman outfielder Kyle Colligan accounted for all three of A&M's runs in the game, blasting a two-run homer and scoring the third run after a leadoff triple.

Kyle Thebeau earned the win, allowing one unearned run on seven hits in seven-complete innings.

Texas A&M holds the all-time advantage over Houston, 102-50-1, in a series which dates back to 1949. A&M has won five of the last six meetings between the two schools.
