The 2005-06 Texas A&M men?â„¢s basketball team will be honored at a dinner celebration on Wednesday, May 3 at Reed Arena.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:15, followed by the program at 7. The event will feature special player and fan awards, a highlight video and a special presentation at the end of the night. Coach Gillispie and the A&M senior players also will speak.
Dinner tickets are sold out, but students with a valid ID will be allowed to sit in the stands and view the highlight videos and award presentations. The general public will be admitted for $10.
A&M finished 22-9 this season, the third most wins in school history, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1987. The Aggies defeated Syracuse in the first round, their first NCAA Tournament win since 1980. The Aggies have posted consecutive 20-win seasons for only the third time in school history.
