The Aggies will look to get back on the winning track after dropping two of three games to Baylor last weekend to drop to 20-23 overall and to 4-14 in Big 12 action.
The Roadrunners won two of three games against Texas-Arlington last weekend to improve to 26-13 and 12-6 in Southland Conference play. Currently, UTSA is alone in third place in its league standings.
Chance Corgan will get his 10th start of the season on the mound for the Aggies. The right-hander is 3-2 with an ERA of 4.04 in 49 innings pitched. He has 59 strikeouts against 23 walks.
Righty Blake Brannon will also be making his 10th start of the year for the Roadrunners. He is 3-5 with an ERA of 5.83. In 54 innings of work, he has fanned 40 batters and walked 24.
UTSA defeated A&M earlier this season, 4-2, in the Collegiate Baseball Classic held at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio. Brannon started the game and allowed two runs on eight hits in 8 2/3 innings.
The Aggies hold the all-time series advantage over the Roadrunners, 14-8, in a series that dates back to 1993.
A&M returns to Big 12 play this weekend with a three-game series against Texas. The first game will be played Friday in Austin, before the series shifts to Olsen Field for games two and three. Saturday's game will be televised by FOX Sports Net and will begin at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the game can be purchased by calling the Texas A&M Athletic Ticket Office at (979) 845-2311 or (888) 99-AGGIE. Fans can also purchase tickets at the Olsen Field Box Office prior to the game.
