Saturday is Military Appreciation Night at Olsen Field and all veterans will receive two complimentary tickets to the game. There will be a pregame ceremony to honor military personnel and the events around the entire game will have a patriotic theme.
The Aggies enter the weekend with a record of 22-26 after Tuesday's 12-9 win over Sam Houston.
Dallas Baptist, in its first season as a Division 1A independent, has a record of 30-17 after splitting a four-game series against Fresno State last weekend and beating TCU, 3-0, Tuesday.
A&M is 13-3 all-time against the Patriots, but the two schools have not met on the diamond since 1998. The Aggies won both games in 1998 and DBU swept a two-game series in 1996.
Jason Meyer is scheduled to be the starting pitcher for Texas A&M in Friday's game and Kyle Nicholson will toe the rubber Saturday.
Meyer, a left-hander from Abilene, Texas, and two-time Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, owns a record of 2-2 and an ERA of 3.10.
Nicholson, a righty and home-grown product of College Station, is 3-5 with an ERA of 5.09.
DBU will counter with Ricky Sparks (1-0, 3.48) and Jordan Craft (4-2, 4.69).
Fans can purchase tickets by calling the Texas A&M Athletic Ticket Office at (979) 845-2311 or (888) 99-AGGIE.
