Texas A&M's Josh Carter scored 11 points wityh 13 rebounds on Wednesday as Athletes In Action defeated Japan, 108-81, in the William Jones Cup at the Taipei Physical Education Gym.
AIA improves to 4-1 in the tournament while Japan falls to 0-5.
Belmont's Boomer Herndon led the American team with 28 points, New Mexico's Tony Danridge scored 20 points with 11 boards, and UNM's Troy DeVries added 19 points.
Japan led for most of the first quarter, but two quick baskets to start the second period put AIA in the lead for good. AIA posted a 59-24 rebounding edge.
AIA plays the Philippines on Thursday.
