Texas A&M's Bronson Burgoon, Austin Schauer and John Hurley will be among the 312 players competing for the U.S. Amateur Championship beginning on Monday at the Chaska Town Course.
The first two rounds will use a stroke play format, with the top 64 players after Tuesday's second round advancing to match play, which begins on Wednesday at Hazeltine National Golf Club. The 36-hole championship match is scheduled for next Sunday.
Burgoon (The Woodlands, Texas) led the Aggies in scoring last season, setting an A&M freshman record with a 73.07 average. He shot six-under-par to win the sectional qualifier played on August 8 at Trophy Club near Fort Worth.
Schauer (Spring, Texas) redshirted as a freshman last season. He shot two-under to tie for first at the sectional qualifier played on July 24 at Timmaron Country Club in Southlake, Texas.
Hurley (O'Neill, Neb.) is an incoming freshman and tied for first with a two-over-par score at the sectional qualifier played on July 31 at Bakker Crossing Golf Club in Sioux Falls, S.D.
