The Aggies (3-1-1) suffered their first loss of the season on Friday as they fell in a tough battle to No. 4 UCLA, 2-1.
Santa Clara (4-1-0), the 2001 Women's College Cup Champions, managed a 2-1 come from behind overtime victory over the University of Connecticut in the opening match of the tournament. The Broncos' only loss thus far has been to No. 1 Notre Dame.
A&M and Santa Clara will have met only one time previous to Sunday's match. The Broncos remained undefeated with the 3-0 victory over the Aggies in 1998 in extreme rain at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
