After another day of brisk selling, the AT&T Corps Classic featuring Texas A&M vs. Army has surpassed the 63,000 attendance mark. With two full days before the Saturday night kickoff at the 65,000 seat Alamodome, the game currently ranks as the #10 most attended football game in Alamodome history.
The 2,000 remaining tickets are still available through www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 210-224-9600 or through the Alamodome Southwest Box office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and then from 10 a.m. to kickoff on Saturday at the Alamodome?â„¢s Northeast Box Office. Ticket prices range from $25 to $50.
All Alamodome parking passes to this event have been sold. Fans without parking passes are advised to arrive early and park downtown or take VIA's Park & Ride at one of the following locations: Crossroads (Loop 410 at IH-10 at Crossroads Mall), Randolph (Loop 410 at IH-35), Parkhills Baptist Church (17747 San Pedro Ave near 281 and 1604) and South San High School Stadium on Bobcat Lane.
The roundtrip fare is $5 and the first bus leaves Park & Ride at 6 p.m. The last bus leaves twenty minutes prior to the game's 8 p.m. start time. Following the game, the return buses run until an hour after the conclusion.
The AT&T Corps Classic will provide an estimated $9 million direct economic impact to San Antonio based on the 32,000 out-of-town visitors anticipated at the game. This game will also mark the debut of 14 new sideline suites at the Alamodome bringing the total number of suites to 52. All 52 suites have been sold.
Over the next 18 months, the AT&T Corps Classic is one of four college football games the Alamodome will host featuring 60,000+ fans in attendance. The other two games are the 2006 and 2007 Alamo Bowls and the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship on December 1, 2007.
