With the increasing threat of inclement weather, the match between the 6th-ranked Texas A&M soccer team and the Sam Houston State Bearkats was rescheduled for Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
After a rain delay pushed the start of the match to 8:10 p.m., the Aggies came out attacking from the get-go, scoring four goals in the first 45 minutes of play. Senior Madison Klovstad netted two goals and chipped in an assist, while junior Ashlee Pistorius and freshman Cydne Currie buried A&M?â„¢s other two goals.
The Aggies did not allow Sam Houston a single shot in the game?â„¢s first half, outshooting the Bearkats 20-0 and taking 10 corners to SHSU?â„¢s zero.
However, unless a match has progressed to 70 minutes, the game is deemed a ?no contest,? and all normal statistics are nullified. Tuesday?â„¢s match will begin over with the score starting at zero.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Fans wanting to attend the match can purchase tickets at the gate or online at AggieAthletics.com. Fans who purchased a ticket for the game on Sunday will be able to use that same ticket to gain admission for the replay on Tuesday. If they no longer have that ticket, it is asked that they call the ticket office at 845-2311 or 1-888-99-AGGIE.
Parking is available in lots designated 100g, 100j or 100k.
