Texas A&M senior forward Suzzette Devloo earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week accolades for her scoring abilities against No. 13 Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, the league office announced today.
"I am very excited for Suzzette," said A&M head coach G Guerrieri. "She is an incredibly athletic individual who is great in the air. I'm happy to see her contributions to the success of our team recognized."
Devloo extended her scoring streak to five goals in four games including the game-winner against then Big 12 leader, Oklahoma State. A&M got on the scoreboard in the seventh minute against OSU when Devloo scored her first goal from six yards out. Eight minutes later Devloo scored her second goal of the game. And two days later against Oklahoma, Devloo netted her third goal of the week and sixth of the season, which marks her personal best, as the Aggies improved to a perfect 4-0-0 in conference play.
