FSN Southwest launches SPOTLIGHT, a new local series featuring 30-minute mini-documentaries on athletes from the Southwest region.
Dat Nguyen will be the subject WEDNESDAY, Oct. 11 airing at 10 p.m. central (replayed on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 1 a.m. central and Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. central). The special chronicles Dat?â„¢s life as his mother and father escaped Vietnam and Dat was born in a refugee camp in Arkansas before the family settled in Rockport, Texas, the trials and tribulations Dat faced growing up and his love for sports. He played football at Texas A&M and became an All-American linebacker as well as the 1998 Lombardi Award winner and Bednarik Defensive Player of the Year Award before he signed a professional contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
