The Texas A&M men?â„¢s golf team is ranked No. 9 in the Golf Coaches Association of America/Bridgestone Coaches Poll released on Thursday.

Oklahoma State took over the top spot, edging second-ranked Florida by one point. Both teams earned six first-place votes. Former No. 1 Georgia dropped to spots to third.

The Aggies were ranked No. 14 in the previous poll, but finished third last week at the PING/Golfweek Preview, which featured the top teams in the country.

The GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America. The next GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll will be released Oct. 26.
