The tournament will consist of 18 holes each day on the 7,493-yard, par-72 layout, which is the home course for more than a dozen PGA Tour stars, including Tiger Woods. Play begins at 8 a.m. each day and live scoring is available online at www.golfstat.com.
Representing A&M will be juniors Martin Piller, Robert Gates and Trey Todd, freshman John Hurley and sophomore Matt Van Zandt.
"We don't have any easy tournaments from here on out," A&M Coach J.T. Higgins said. "This is an outstanding field and a great golf course. The team has played fantastic in practice this week and look ready for the challenge."
Sophomore Bronson Burgoon will miss the tournament while preparing for the first-stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School, which begins on Tuesday at Cypresswood Golf Club in Spring, Texas. Burgoon is competing as an amateur so he can retain his college eligibility should he not earn his tour card.
