The Texas A&M women?â„¢s basketball team will jump-start the 2006-07 season with the third annual Maroon and White Game slated for Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.

Fans of all ages are invited to Reed Arena for a sneak preview of this year?â„¢s squad. Admission is free with light concessions available for purchase at the arena. The intersquad game will consist of five 10 minute quarters and will be officiated like a normal game situation.

Head coach Gary Blair will hand over coaching duties to two guest coaches, while he evaluates his team from the sidelines. Bill McGuire from State Bank will coach the White team and Robert Davis from C.C. Creations will coach the Maroon team.

Following the game, fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet the Aggies for autographs and pictures on the court. Fans can also sign up for the Junior Aggie Club and Gary?â„¢s Club.

?We want this to be a good experience for our fans,? Blair said. ?With all of the hype surrounding our program over the summer and in the preseason, we want to share our excitement for the upcoming season with them. This will be a chance for our fans to see our coaches and players in action first hand and interact with us on a one-on-one basis.?

Ranked as high as No. 9 nationally in two preseason polls, the A&M women will host Athletes In Action in exhibition play on Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. Season tickets can still be purchased by calling 1-888-99-AGGIE.
