Texas A&M soccer players, Paige Carmichael and Ashlee Pistorius were named to the 2006 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament team, the league announced.
Carmichael, a junior midfielder/defender, who was an All-Big 12 first team selection this season, had a hand in two of the Aggies?â„¢ three goals against Baylor on Wednesday. She now has five assists on the season. In 2005 Carmichael was named the Big 12 Championship Defensive MVP.
Pistorius, a junior forward, who was an All-Big 12 second team honoree, netted the game-winner against the Lady Bears and turned around on Friday to put away both of A&M?â„¢s goals against Colorado, bringing her season total to 11. She currently leads the Aggies in total points with 26. Pistorius was last year?â„¢s Big 12 Championship Offensive MVP.
