The Texas A&M equestrian team will host Baylor at N.W. ?Dick? Freeman Arena on Sunday, Nov. 5, at noon.
The Aggies (2-1) are coming off a tough tiebreaker loss to Oklahoma State last Sunday. A&M and OSU were tied at 16 points apiece at the conclusion of the competition. The Cowgirls won the tiebreaker, 2,329 to 2,317.5, after the judges?™ scorecards were consulted.
Baylor (3-2) is coming off an 11-9 win over Oklahoma State last Saturday in Waco after having been beaten 17-7 in Stillwater the week before.
Sunday?™s meeting will be the first full meeting in varsity-style competition between the two schools. A&M?™s English riders topped the Bears both at the Big Eight English Invitational and at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships last season while the western squad earned a win at the Big Eight western show in College Station last year as well.
Sunday?™s show is free of charge. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family. The 12th Man Team Rewards Program will also be in attendance scanning its members in the pavilion area.
Freeman Arena is located on FM 2818/Harvey Mitchell Parkway, approximately one mile north of the University Drive exit on the west side of the road.
