A&M earned its eighth trip to the round of 16 and improved to 16-5-1 on the season after defeating Grambling State and SMU, 5-0 and 4-0 respectively, last weekend.

Junior forward Ashlee Pistorius was recently named a M.A.C Hermann Trophy Semifinalist. Pistorius leads the team in goals scored with 14 while chipping in five assists, three of the goals coming in the NCAA First and Second Rounds.

Virginia improved to 12-7-2 overall after a pair of 2-0 wins over both West Virginia and Wake Forest last weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Cavaliers' sophomore forward Jess Rostedt leads the team in scoring with nine goals while notching three assists.

Friday's match will mark the first ever meeting between the two schools and Virginia's first time to play in Texas. The winner will meet the winner of the North Carolina-Tennessee match being played at UNC.

Once again, as a thank you to the Texas A&M student soccer supporters, all Aggie students, who present a valid Texas A&M student ID, and all children, high school age and under, will be admitted FREE into Friday's soccer match against Virginia.

Free admission has once again been made possible courtesy of David Gardner's Jewelers, a member of the local organizing committee, Aggie head coach G Guerrieri and the Texas A&M soccer program.
