After surveying a couple of sites on the Texas A&M campus, ESPN?™s GameDay, built by Home Depot, has decided to broadcast from Cain Park with the backdrop being the Zone at Kyle Field.
The show airs Saturday from 9 a.m. central until 11 a.m. central. Rece Davis will serve as host with Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard as analysts.
The first LIVE shot from Texas A&M will hit in the 8 a.m. segment of SportsCenter.
ESPN GameDay officials will have barricades and security in the area just behind the set. After inspecting the signs, fans will be allowed in this area beginning at 7 a.m.
Fans are encouraged to begin arriving in the park area as early as 6 a.m.
Normal university policy will be followed in the Cain Park area as well as the Zone Plaza. The policy does not allow any tents or alcohol. Both lanes of Joe Routt Blvd. will be closed from Wellborn Road to Clark Street in anticipation of the large crowd.
The game day parking will already be in effect so fans with reserved lot parking passes may use their passes to gain admittance to their respective lots.
General parking is available for a fee in Lot 97 ($10) across the railroad tracks from Cain Park and the West Campus Parking Garage ($15)
The football game between Oklahoma and Texas A&M will air at 7 p.m. on ABC-HD.
