Christi Hahn of Texas A&M has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI Women?â„¢s Volleyball First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today. As a member of the first team, Hahn will now be considered for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Team, which will be announced Nov. 28.

Hahn, a senior middle blocker from Leander, Texas, is making her third consecutive appearance on the academic all-district team. Last year she went on to earn academic All-America third team honors.

Hahn boasts a cumulative 4.0 grade-point average while majoring in kinesiology/exercise science. On the court, Hahn is a three-year starter for the Aggies and currently leads the team and ranks fourth in the Big 12 Conference with a .369 hitting percentage. She also leads A&M with 4.15 points per game and ranks second with 3.34 kills per game this season.

The academic team was selected by members of CoSIDA in District VI, which encompasses the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. To be eligible for academic all-district honors, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve, have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and have achieved at least sophomore status.

Hahn and the Aggies return to the court Sunday as they play host to Iowa State at 2 p.m. at G. Rollie White Coliseum.
