The Texas A&M men's basketball team has achieved the highest ranking in program history with a No. 6 rating in both the Associated Press Poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, released Monday.
The Aggies (7-0) bested the previous high of No. 8, reached during the 1959-60 season and tied last week.
A&M will face 9th-ranked LSU (4-1) in Baton Rouge on Tuesday and No. 1-ranked UCLA (6-0) on Saturday in the John Wooden Classic at Anaheim's Honda Center.
