Texas A&M's Director of Football Strength and Performance, Ben Pollard, will resign his position at the end of the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, Aggie head coach Dennis Franchione announced on Friday.
A 20-year coaching veteran, Pollard cited family and personal reasons for the decision.
?This is totally based on what is best for our family,? Pollard said. ?We have prayerfully considered this as a family for quite some time. This is the time.?
Franchione said, ?I hate to lose Ben. He has been with me at three different programs (TCU, Alabama and Texas A&M), and he has been a key part of our football family. I understand the importance of family and I respect his decision. Kim and I wish Ben and his family all the best.?
