After discussions with various staff members and due to the expected inclement weather, Texas A&M Director of Athletics Bill Byrne announced that students may utilize tents as they prepare to pull tickets for the Texas A&M vs. Texas men?â„¢s basketball game scheduled for Monday, Feb. 5.

?We met with student leaders and there was discussion about not allowing tents, but I feel it is best to protect our students from the weather so tents will be allowed beginning at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31,? Byrne explained.

An earlier announcement had been released stating tents would not be allowed.

Students may begin forming the line at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the ticket windows at The Zone at Kyle Field. All the rules and regulations regarding student pull will remain the same.

Byrne also announced that an original plan, put together in consultation with student leaders, to give away 300 student tickets at the Saturday women?â„¢s basketball game against Kansas will not take place.

?I appreciate the feedback and opinions of all of our students here at Texas A&M,? Byrne stated. ?After considering the feedback, I have decided to make all 4,200 student tickets available for pull as usual.?

The Kyle Field ticket windows will open for student pull at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1.

The Aggie men?â„¢s basketball team will face Iowa State at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Reed Arena.
