The Aggies won two of three games last weekend against stiff competition to improve to 3-1 on the young season. A&M lost a 5-4 decision to 12th-ranked Arizona State to open the tournament before defeating Houston, 3-2, and top-ranked Rice, 4-2.

For their efforts, the Aggies entered the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper top 30 at No. 28.

The Cowboys enter the game with an 0-3 record after a trip to the Citrus Tournament in Edinburg, Texas. McNeese suffered losses to Cal St.-Northridge (3-4), Oklahoma State (0-7), and Texas-Pan American (7-9).

Texas A&M and McNeese State have played 26 times, with the Aggies holding the all-time advantage, 21-5. The two schools have not met since 1996.

Freshman right-hander Scott Migl will get the starting nod for the Aggies. Migl, a native of Houston and St. Thomas High School will be seeing his first collegiate action.

The Cowboys have yet to determine a starter.

After the McNeese State contest, A&M will host Texas-Pan American in a three-game set on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Texas A&M Ticket Office at (979) 845-2311 or (888) 99-AGGIE.
