The Aggies are fresh off a three-game sweep of Texas-Pan American, improving to 7-1 in the process.

With the 4-0 week, the Aggies jumped four spots to No. 24 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper top 30.

Texas-Arlington brings a 3-4 record to College Station after winning two of three games at the UTA Invitational. UTA defeated Illinois State, 7-3, New Mexico, 2-1, and lost to Nebraska, 5-4.

The Aggies lead the all-time series with the Mavericks, 19-4, but have lost two of the last three. Last year, A&M pounded UTA, 14-3, at Clay Gould Ballpark in Arlington. Parker Dalton led the way, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBI.

Senior right-hander Kyle Nicholson will start on the mound for Texas A&M. Nicholson will be making his 63rd career appearance, tying him for sixth all-time with Casey Fossum and Barry Smith. He enters the game with a record of 1-1 and an ERA of 0.87 in 10 1/3 innings of work this year.

UTA will counter with sophomore righty Brandon Endsley. Endsley is 1-0 in four appearances this season and has an ERA of 3.18 in 5 2/3 innings. It will be his first start of the season.

Fans can purchase tickets by calling the Texas A&M Athletic Ticket Office at (979) 8945-2311 or (888) 99-AGGIE.

The game will be broadcast live on AM-1620 WTAW. Airtime is set for 6:15 p.m.
