Head men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie and head women's basketball coach Gary Blair met with members of the press on Monday at the weekly Texas A&M basketball media luncheon held at Outback Steakhouse.
Both teams are in first place in the league standings and have Big 12 Championship aspirations on the line this week.
Gillispie and the men battle No. 15 Texas in Austin on Wednesday (8 p.m., ESPN2), then wrap the regular-season on Saturday against Missouri at a sold-out Reed Arena (3 p.m., ESPN Plus/ESPN Full Court).
Blair and the women host Texas Wednesday at 6 p.m. (FSN).
