Texas A&M women?â„¢s basketball fans can join head coach Gary Blair and select players for the team?â„¢s final luncheon of the season set for Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Reed Arena.
The 2006-07 campaign has been a season of many firsts for the postseason-bound Aggies. Coach Blair will recap the team?â„¢s first-ever sweep of Texas Tech on Feb. 21 and second-ever Big 12 win at Baylor on Feb. 25. A&M is currently tied for first place with defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma in the latest league standings. Texas A&M baseball coach Rob Childress will serve as a guest speaker.
The Aggies moved up two spots to No. 14 nationally in The Associated Press Top 25 Poll released Monday. With its first-ever Big 12 Conference title on the line, A&M hosts rival Texas in the final installment of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown in both team?â„¢s regular season finale on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Reed Arena. Fans are encouraged to pack Reed Arena to cheer on the Aggies to victory.
Tuesday?â„¢s basketball luncheon will be held on the third floor of Reed Arena in Room 301 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $10 (cash or checks only) per person and will include a meal, video highlights of games, guest speakers, player interviews and commentary by Coach Blair. Parking for the event will be available in front of Reed Arena or in the West Campus Parking Garage.
