The No. 19 Texas A&M baseball team will look to extend its current winning streak to 11 games on Tuesday when the Aggies host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Olsen Field.

The Aggies won four games last week, including an impressive series sweep over Jacksonville State, to improve to 11-1 overall.

Texas A&M moved up five spots to No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper top 30 and entered the Baseball America top 25 at No. 25.

The Aggies?â„¢ offense has been clicking on all cylinders, collecting double-digit hits in six of the last seven games to increase the team batting average to .320. In the last five games, the Aggies have averaged 13.6 hits and 9.6 runs per contest.

On the mound, A&M has been just as impressive, posting a team ERA of 2.52 through the first 12 games. Opponents are hitting just .204 against Aggie pitching and have struck out 105 times in 107 innings.

The Islanders enter Tuesday?â„¢s game with a record of 9-4 after losing four-straight games to Texas-Pan American, Nebraska, Florida Atlantic and Rice.

Texas A&M leads the all-time series with the A&M-Corpus Christi, 6-0. The two teams have not played since the Aggies swept the Islanders in a three-game series to open the 2004 season.

Freshman right-hander Scott Migl will start in the mound for the Aggies. Migl is 2-0 in his three appearances this year and will be making his second start of the season. He has thrown 10 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out four.

The Islanders have yet to name a starting pitcher.
