Texas A&M junior Megan Gibson earned Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday.

Gibson earned two wins in the circle in two starts for the Aggies and improved her record to a perfect 6-0 on the season. She pitched 13 complete innings with one shutout to her credit. Gibson's sixth win of the season came against No. 4 Arizona where she struck out nine Wildcat batters. The Spring, Texas native recorded 15 K's and a 1.62 ERA in two appearances. Gibson's season ERA is 1.24 with opponents hitting a mere .192 off the righty.

Oklahoma's Mariee Mena was named Big 12 Player of the Week after leading the undefeated Sooners (16-0) to a 6-0 mark, including wins over No. 6 Oregon State and No. 16 California. She compiled a .667 batting average (10-for--15) and a 1.133 slugging percentage on 17 total bases while adding a double and two home runs. Mena also tallied eight RBI to extend her eight-game hitting streak, the longest of her career. At the Palm Springs Classic on Saturday, Mena posted her best performances of the week. She sparked the offensive rally in the run rule against California as Mena was the first to score for the Sooners with a RBI in the first inning and later added another to give OU the 7-1 lead. Mena also helped her team upset Oregon State, going 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI and a walk in the contest. The California native also earned USA Softball National Player of the Week earlier today for her efforts.
