The No. 12-ranked Texas A&M men's golf team will compete in the Schenkel EZ-GO Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Forest Heights Country Club.

The 18-team field will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday.

In addition to A&M, the field includes No. 2 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 7 Florida, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 15 North Carolina, No. 19 Minnesota, No. 25 Auburn, Arizona, Augusta State, Georgia Southern, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan State, New Mexico, North Carolina State, Ohio State and South Carolina.

Representing A&M will be sophomore Bronson Burgoon, freshman John Hurley, and juniors Martin Piller, Bobby Gates and Trey Todd.

The Aggies are coming off a sventh place finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship last week in Las Vegas. Burgoon and Piller tied for 10th place in the individual standings.

"This is the first time we have ever played in the EZ-GO Invitational but from all accounts it is a terrific tournament," A&M Coach J.T. Higgins said. "We don?â„¢t know much about the course, but we will be facing some of the best teams on the East Coast and it is going be a challenging test of golf. We have played some good golf this spring but if we are going to compete for the national championship, we need to be much better."
