Texas A&M sophomore swimmer Marissa Jasek (San Antonio) is featured on the inside back page of this month?â„¢s issue of Glamour magazine.
Jasek?â„¢s photo was snapped by photographer Ronnie Andren on Miami?â„¢s South Beach during the Aggies?â„¢ winter training trip in early January. The page highlights a list of ?'do?â„¢s and don?â„¢ts?â„¢ relating to swimwear. Jasek is complimented by the magazine for her choice of swimwear and sunglasses.
?This is the most random thing ever,? Jasek said. ?(Teammate) Sally (Ranzau) and I were walking down the beach during one of our training breaks and this guy was just walking around taking pictures. I had no idea it would turn into something like this.?
Jasek is one of the top freestyle sprinters on the Big 12 champion Aggie swimming & diving team. Jasek qualified for three individual championship finals at the conference meet, helping to lead A&M to their first-ever conference championship. Jasek earned NCAA consideration times in the 50, 100, and 200-yard freestyles, nearly qualifying for the meet in the 200-yard race.
Ironically, Jasek was chosen by 15 of her teammates as Teammate Most Likely to Win America?â„¢s Next Top Model on a personal interest questionnaire filled out by the entire squad last September.
