"We look forward to playing Texas on our home field," A&M head coach Jo Evans said. "Our games against Texas always bring out a great crowd, and I believe there's no better atmosphere in college softball than game day against the Longhorns at the Aggie Softball Complex."

The Longhorns split their two-game series with Oklahoma State over the weekend bringing their overall record to 29-15, 4-8 in Big 12. Texas fell in eight innings to the Cowgirls, 4-3, on Saturday before claiming a 5-3 victory on Sunday.

Texas freshman infielder Tallie Thrasher boasts a .322 batting average and leads the team in RBIs (30) and home runs (12).

The Aggies enter Wednesday's game at 37-7, 10-4 in conference. A&M split a pair of games against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Mo. last weekend. The Aggies dropped a 5-0 decision to the Tigers on Saturday but bounced back Sunday scoring seven runs on seven hits and holding Mizzou scoreless. Senior Sharonda McDonald led the scoring attack going 4-for-4 scoring two runs and knocking in one in the Aggies' 7-0 victory.

A&M's Amanda Scarborough was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. Scarborough (19-4) worked 14 scoreless innings in the Aggies' 4-0 win over Oklahoma State and 7-0 win over Missouri. Scarborough extended her streak to 30.1 innings without surrendering a run.

Texas holds a 14-12 advantage in the all-time series with A&M. The two teams met earlier this year with the Longhorns posting a 5-0 win over the Aggies in Austin.

All advance reserved and general admission seats for Wednesday's game are sold out. A&M students with the all sports option will be admitted on a first come first served basis with their valid student id and sports pass. There will be a limited number of standing room only and limited view seats available just before game time.

Free parking for the softball game is available in the Reed Arena lots marked 100e.
