Senior Acie Law IV was named Texas A&M's Outstanding Player for the second straight year at the 2006-07 Aggie Basketball Celebration Dinner on Wednesday night at Reed Arena.
More than 500 fans attended the event, which featured a highlight video and an appearance by first-year Head Coach Mark Turgeon and his staff.
The Aggies finished 27-7 last season -- the most wins in school history -- and placed second in the Big 12 with a 13-3 mark. A&M advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1980.
Law was the first consensus first-team All-American in school history and won the Bob Cousy Award as the nation's top point guard.
Junior Joseph Jones also was a repeat winner, taking home the Shelby Metcalf Leadership Award for the second straight year. Senior Logan Lee was named co-recipient of the honor, which grew in significance after Metcalf passed away in February.
Junior Dominique Kirk picked up two awards, the Chris Walker Hustle Award and the Outstanding Defensive Player Award.
Senior Antanas Kavaliauskas received the Most Improved Player Award, senior Marlon Pompey was handed the Sixth Man Award, freshman Donald Sloan was named the team's Newcomer of the Year and sophomore Josh Carter was took home the 3-Point Award. Carter led the nation in three-point accuracy this season.
Junior Beau Muhlbach received the Daniel Scoates Garner Scholar Athlete Award.
The Unsung Hero Award went to the entire scout team, which consisted of senior Josh Johnston, senior Brian Blackburn, Muhlbach, junior Slade Weishuhn and freshmen Derrick Roland and Shawn Schepel.
Aubrey Bloom was selected as the Reed Rowdy of the Year.
