"Our teams are very much alike," A&M head coach Jo Evans said. "We both have very good pitching, power in the line-up, solid defense and speed on the base paths. It is always a hard fought game when our two teams meet."

The Aggies take a 39-8, 12-5 league record into the match-up. Over the weekend, A&M split a two-game series with the Texas Tech Red Raiders in College Station. Megan Gibson (16-3) earned her seventh shutout of the season with the 5-0 win on Saturday, but the Aggies fell short, 6-2, after giving up 11 hits on Sunday. Gibson was 4-for-7 against Tech on the weekend, driving in three runs with two doubles and a walk. Sharonda McDonald was 5-for-7 with three runs scored and a stolen base.

Baylor (43-12, 12-3 Big 12) also split its weekend series, falling to the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, 4-3, before pounding out 10 hits to earn the 3-0 victory on Sunday. Ashley Monceaux leads the way for the Lady Bear hitters. The senior infielder is hitting .401 on the season and leads the team in home runs (15) and RBIs (55).

The Aggies lead the all-time series 49-16-1, most recently dropping an extra-inning game to the Lady Bears, 3-1, in College Station at the beginning of April.

Coach Evans and the Texas A&M Maroon Club would also like to extend an invitation to any fans wishing to attend Saturday's game to purchase a ticket to ride a chartered fan bus to Waco. The cost of the trip is $20 for Maroon Club members and $25 for all other Aggie fans. The trip includes one ticket to the game, a snack pack, a media guide and a chance to win free prizes.
