Friday's Super Regional opener between Texas A&M and Rice will be televised by ESPN. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CDT).
The game is the "secondary" one of two televised nationally in that time slot by ESPN. The "primary" broadcast is South Carolina vs. North Carolina.
IF YOU LIVE IN TEXAS: Those inside the state of Texas are "protected" and WILL get the A&M/Rice game in its entirety.
IF YOU LIVE IN SOUTH/NORTH CAROLINA: Those inside the states of South Carolina and North Carolina are "protected" for that game and will get only the USC/UNC game.
IF YOU LIVE IN ANY OTHER STATE: Those outside the states of Texas, South and North Carolina will get "whip-around" coverage of both games. Basically, that means ESPN will show those out-of-market viewers the best action, beginning with the primary broadcast (South Carolina vs. North Carolina).
SATELLITE SUBSCRIBERS: Those who subscribe to either DirecTV or Dish Network should be able to view the A&M/Rice game in its entirety regardless of geographical location. DirecTV should carry the game on Ch. 211, while Dish should carry it on Ch. 146.
Please consult your local listings for specific broadcast information in your area.
