Despite a rousing final-round comeback, Team USA lost to Japan on a tiebreaker on Friday at the 32nd Annual Fuji Xerox Collegiate Golf Championship at Tijeras Creek Golf Club. Japan was named the winner based on total strokes (2,657-2,650), its first victory in the event in 12 years.
Team USA went 9-1-1 in the final round to even the competition, 30-30. Texas A&M's Bronson Burgoon fell to Japan's Yuki Usami.
