Texas A&M's Danielle McVeigh carded a three-over-par 75 on Tuesday to take a three-shot lead over Great Britain's Anna Scott after two rounds of the World University Games.
Led by McVeigh, who will be a sophomore at A&M in the fall, Ireland is tied with Great Britain for the team lead. McVeigh is three-over (72-75=147) for the tournament, which concludes on Thursday.
?We?â„¢re only halfway but I got around steady today," McVeigh said. "I couldn?â„¢t really tell you what I did on the front nine or the back nine for that matter. I just go out and play golf, play as well as I can and add the scores up at the end of the day. I have to give more of the same tomorrow.?
McVeigh won the Donnie Thompson Invitational for the Big 12 champion Aggies last spring and went on to set a school record for freshman scoring average.
